Want to learn more about sea ducks in Alaska and across the globe? Then join scientists from around the world for a stimulating and educational conference on sea duck conservation and research. The Sea Duck Joint Venture (SDJV) has helped sponsor a North American Sea Duck Conference once every three years since 2002. These conferences provide opportunities for researches, managers, anyone interested in sea ducks to share information and research results, conduct workshops on specific issues, and to hold related meetings. Field trips to Kenai Fjords are available as well as an evening of entertainment by Mr. White Keys!

Come join us in beautiful Vancouver, Canada for the 4th meeting of the Western Hemisphere Shorebird Group.
The purpose of the meeting is to: bring together biologists studying breeding, staging and wintering shorebirds throughout the Western Hemisphere in one location; promote information sharing on methodologies and study design among biologists working on different shorebird species; to promote range-wide studies of shorebirds by fostering collaborations among biologists interested in particular species; integrate science into the implementation of various shorebird conservation plans; and to generate enthusiasm among the shorebird community to conduct additional studies of shorebirds in the future.
We plan to have a lot of fun! We have several social gatherings planned, an evening poster session, a field trip to see one of the largest gatherings of migratory shorebirds on the planet, and a spectacular banquet overlooking the beautiful mountains that grace our campus. We look forward to having you join us to celebrate all things shorebird!
